Chad Meador a long time assistant coach for the Lady Bobcats’ basketball team is now the head coach at the school. Meador has been coaching at the school for nearly two decades.
Meador inherits a team that went 24-3 last winter and made a trip to Charleston to the state tournament in Class A. The Lady Bobcats must replace four key players this winter, two of whom where the Justice sisters who both broke scoring records while at Summers County High School.
The Lady Bobcats have won seven state titles since 1994, including five straight from 2007-2011 in Class AA. Sarah Blevins who coached the Lady Bobcats last winter in her one and only season as head coach left for a job in another state. Wayne Ryan held that job the 21 previous seasons in Hinton.
