Sam Wykle led the Bobcats with 13 points on the night as the Lumberjacks were just too much for the Bobcats in this game. The Bobcats will host Mount View on Friday night to close out the regular season.

The Golden Knights defeated the Bobcats back in January in Welch as Summers County looks to end the regular season on a high note as tournament time is upon us.

Summers County Unloads on Richwood

Hinton, W.Va.summerscountyfootballhelmet —  The Summers County Bobcats improve to (7-2) in 2016 as they take down the Richwood Lumberjacks 70-28 on homecoming night in Hinton.

The Bobcats No.8 in Class A this week jumped out to a big lead and didn’t look back versus the Lumberjacks (0-9). The Bobcats 70 points in a game, I need to check with a Summers County football historian to see if that is a school record or not, but either way an impressive feat.

Summers (7-2) hosts Mount View (5-4)  Friday night to end the regular season in Hinton as the Bobcats look to secure a home playoff game, but must take down Mount View to give themselves a chance to make it happen.

richwoodhelmetThe Golden Knights are very much improved from year’s past and will be a challenge for the Bobcats. The fans will get a good game in this one on Friday in Hinton, might as well say the playoffs for both teams start with this game.
